I love to visit my wife’s grandfather’s farm house in Norman, Oklahoma. It gives me an opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle, and offers endless photographic opportunities, from the native wildlife to the rustic buildings and antiqued decor.
Old finds
The old shed led to a couple of great finds, like this rusted pulley and chains.
Grazing Deer
On the way back from exploring the nearby lake, these beautiful deer had no problem with our presence. They simply watched us creep by.
Turtle at home
This little guy has made his home under a tree on the property. We see him every time we visit, and are amazed at the distance he travels around the property.
Find a way
This plant found a way to grow through a crack in the cement, up through the weathered bench which supports some outdoor stonework decor.
Finding a treasure
Oddly, this Indian Paintbrush was in one lone patch I found on the entire 10-acre plot. There were only three altogether.
Thank you for taking a look! By the way, some of these images are available as a high-quality photo print or ready-to-hang canvas print in my shop.
